Mag-lev cars, pulley swings, pneumatic – powered hovercrafts, cylinders & pyramids, cups & socks and water wheels… are just some of the innovative learning tools featured in our acclaimed Learning Labs.These age-appropriate labs were developed to help students learn integrated science, math and art concepts through open-ended exploration. The labs support curriculum and address Illinois State Goals and National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) standards. The Learning Labs serve over 25,000 students a year in over 40 school districts.

As the concierge,I provide the first impression for all visitors into the Sunrise community. I am responsible for greeting potential residents, families, visitors, managing both external and internal calls, taking and communicating messages. The Concierge provides an overview of community information to those inquiries in support of the marketing and sales efforts.Other responsibilities include monitoring the Bistro area for refreshments, music, cleanliness as well as general administrative duties. It is also my role to support the welcoming and supportive feeling of a Sunrise community.

Temporary position as a Curriculum specialist for science products. As a Highmark employee, I was contracted to do Product Activation presentations for Pearson Education. I conducted quality follow-up in-service to customers as needed; supported pilots and customer’s evaluation of materials; modified and developed presentations based on a thorough knowledge of the product and the customer’s needs; communicated customer feedback, market trends and customer needs to the Account Executive. This position required a self-starter and creative problem-solver with a thorough knowledge of current trends in education both regionally and nationally.
