Our most significant contracts include: ☛ Wolverhampton Homes: £4M, 15-year strategic partnership to refurbish the mechanical and electrical components of approximately 50 social housing dwellings per week.☛ British Transport Police, Birmingham New Street Station: £1.8M project for the new build of state-of-the-art accommodation for the BTP. ☛ Milton Keynes Central Station: £350K mechanical and electrical installation, completed within three months, on behalf of London Midland and Buckingham Group Contracting. ☛ Shelton Hospital, Shrewsbury: £800K new build of a psychiatric hospital village development for South Staffordshire Healthcare NHS Trust in partnership with BAM Construction and NG Bailey.

Following the acquisition of CHN by E.ON Energy, I transferred to the facilities maintenance department and was rapidly promoted to service manager, with facilities management accountability for 50 E.ON-owned buildings throughout the UK. My major success in this role was to increase profitability of the department by more than £300K. I headed a tender process that outsourced direct works to a sub-contracting team, which in turn realised a huge and positive impact to productivity and bottom-line margin.

Initially hired to the business as an electrician, I rapidly progressed through the ranks to the position of supervisor, project manager and ultimately to contracts manager with oversight for a significant £9M ‘decent homes’ social housing refurbishment project. During this time I headed approximately 40 three/four-man teams with more than 100 sub-contractors to deliver full lifecycle electrical refurbishment (rewires, heating system installations etc.) for 50-60 homes on a weekly basis.
