He received the B.Sc., the M.Sc. and the Ph.D. degrees in Electronic Engineering from the University of Pisa, Pisa, Italy, in 2007, 2009 and 2013 respectively.Coming with an analog background his main research topics included nanopositioning system based on piezomotors. He dealt with automated characterization of inertial systems using dynamic test machines, high-level software programming, test board verification and debugging; he successfully contributed in investigating new architectures for sensor interfacing (low-noise readout interfaces for MEMS gyroscopes). He also dealt with new concepts for embedded control of turbomachinery for Oil & Gas field and with high-power subnanosecond pulser and electronics for air-launched UWB GPR antennas.Dr. Giomi was Contract Professor of Electronics at University of Siena and had teaching activities at University of Pisa and at Italian Naval Academy in behalf of University of Pisa.
