I am working as a bioinformatician at the department of forest mycology and plant pathology at SLU, under the supervision of Professors Mukesh Dubey and Magnus Karlsson. My research focus is the role of RNA silencing in the mycoparasitic activity of the biocontrol fungus Clonostachys rosea. I am investigating this topic mainly by analyzing transcriptome and small RNA sequencing data.

Turin Area, Italy

The title of my PhD thesis is "Study of the molecular interactions in the rice-Fusarium fujikuroi pathosystem". A big part of my work has been spent on comparing the genomes of different F. fujikuroi strains to identify genes with a role in virulence and symptom induction. I was also involved in a number of secondary projects, including working with NGS data on the yeast Metschnikowia fructicola, doing promoter analysis on specific genes of Penicillium griseofulvum, performing secondary metabolites cluster prediction and comparison on Penicillium spp. and working with metagenomics on the microbiome of apples and dates. I also have experience in wet lab, specifically concerning DNA and RNA extractions for sequencing, and RealTime PCRs for gene expression analyses. Additionally, I used to work in the greenhouse to monitor the symptoms of rice plants inoculated with strains of Fusarium fujikuroi.

Louvain-La-Neuve

I did a 3 months internship in Louvain-la-Neuve as part of an Erasmusplus mobility.During the internship I did qualitative PCRs, RNA extractions, growing and monitoring of beets, mechanical inoculation of viruses, preparation of nutrient solutions for plants and other lab activities.I was supervised by Professor Claude Bragard.

I did an internship in the section "Genetica Agraria" (Plant Genetics) of my university in the last year of my bachelor's degree.During this time I did qualitative PCRs, preparation of growth mediums for bacteria, minipreps, transformation of bacteria and other lab activities.The internship was supervised by Professor Andrea Moglia.
