This role had two key elements:=> To drive knowledge capture and dissemination through visual storytelling and photographic documentation:o To conduct regular field visits to key projects’ sites at least three times during the project cycle in order to produce a baseline photoreportage, an implementation photoreportage and an evaluation photoreportage.o To produce high quality photo stories documenting humanitarian energy work in refugee settings and displaced communities across the globe including Rwanda, Kenya, Burkina Faso, and Nepal.o To bring and manage photographic inputs/outputs into projects in order to strengthen the quality of local reporting, contextualise qualitative studies, support knowledge capture and dissemination and ultimately enrich the quality of projects findings.=> To develop and deliver communications outcomes through innovative energy access participatory technical work:o To work closely with internal teams - communication, publishing, fundraising and programs – to create engaging and inspiring visual material for website, social media, external media, print material, internal communications, event collateral and other as needed.o To actively contribute in the re-branding process by providing coherent and homogeneous visual material that supports building a unique and distinctive visual identity.o To lead PA work on inclusive participatory approaches, including working directly with communities on their visual inputs to technical reports, feeding field-level and baseline data into projects and understanding community and participatory feed-back loops.

Drive and support the delivery of consultancy projects on energy access for marginalised and vulnerable people in developing countries and in the context of displacement (i.e. refugee camps). Key responsibilities:- To lead project management activities for the Poor People Energy Outlook, delivering the overall qualitative analysis and leading the in-country activities (Togo, Kenya, Bangladesh, Nepal), developing in-house photography products and delivering in-country qualitative research, including technical trainings, multi-stakeholders workshops, capacity building and technology transfer initiatives.- Project management responsibilities, including budgets and contract management, logistics arrangements, and the coordination of the field implementation team to ensure efficient project execution based on time, cost, quality and quantity parameters.- Project evaluation and monitoring through the preparation of baseline studies, due diligence reports, briefing papers, socio-economic feasibility appraisals and business plans.- To perform qualitative studies of unmet energy demands through detailed baseline analysis, including surveys, field interviews, focus group discussions, multi-stakeholder workshops and the assessment of household and community energy patterns.- Help win and deliver new consultancy work by identifying opportunities and supporting proposal development, including developing concept notes, writing proposals, developing budgets, and managing external associates.
