During my time at Deloitte the focus was on the customer and the people, and that’s why in 2015 the company has been able to report $35Bn+ as revenues ($12.2Bn+ by consulting business) effectively been the Big Four company with the best performance in the consulting business.At the beginning, my contribution to the project team was mostly on conducting deep analyses of data and processes, to provide a new solution which can effectively highlight performance patterns and insights to be used by my clients to drive the decision making and actions. Along with my experience and the long relationship with some customers, I become an advisor of my clients’ strategy. I supported them in managing the internal and external stakeholders, and in defining the roadmap to achieve their goals. On the project side, I started investing time to train junior resources on the job, which helped me pursuing customer satisfaction.

ALER is an NPO – Non-Profit-Organization – operating in Milan having as a mission to provide a decent and comfortable house to poor people. In 2010 ALER was the biggest European social housing organization with 1,500 employees generating €250M in annual revenue.When I joint, the Business Controlling team was at its beginning but along the years we made our footprints in the organization. Because of this situation, at the beginning of my experience, I spent most of my resources on explaining to the Departments Heads the financial reports, results and how they could evolve during the year. However, once we settled our process in a more efficient way, I could expand my support producing clear presentation where I linked operational decisions to financial and social impacts. In this way, I could improve the communication and ultimately made the decision process faster and more effective.

With its three plants, it is able to provide support from spare part production to end-to-end manufacturing, testing and delivering. Although my role was about to organize the manufacturing to meet deadlines and eliminate waste, what I did (and enjoyed) the most was solving our customers’ problems. The agile approach was one of the most distinctive signs of the company, so it was a must to maintain this flexibility. Whether it was requested to deliver in advance, to produce a new prototype or to make a last-minute change to some product specifics, I always worked to help our customer to solve the problem and aligned the internal organization to exceed the expectations.
