I spent three months at the Alten offices, during which I had the opportunity to be trained and to be involved in projects on the following topics:-Analysis of project specifications and requirements;-Model based system engineering;-Test engineering using CANalyzer;-FMEA projects;-Construction of a Matlab Simulink model for analysing the performance and consumption of a vehicle with a selectable powertrain (ICE, Hybrid Engine or Full Electric Engine).

I worked for six months in Brembo, world leader in the design and production of braking systems for high-performance vehicles. During this time I had the opportunity to carry out the following different roles.- I structured the data collection and the calculation of some performance indicators for the stock management of spare maintenance materials. Thanks to these KPIs it has been possible to identify some critical issues in the management of technical maintenance materials, and consequently take corrective actions to improve performance;- I contributed to define the multi-year maintenance plans; in particular I took care of the analysis phase of the database and construction of a dashboard to support the condition based maintenance strategy;- I contributed to the activities of the Professional Maintenance pillar of the World Class Manufacturing methodology; in particular I took care of the implementation of the Machine Ledger of the reference work cell for the application of the methodology; in this task I had to analyze the structure and operation of the entire cell, in order to perform a functional division of the cell in several levels, until I got the list of maintainable components, with all the related info;- I had the role of team leader for the application of the 5S methodology on different areas: the spare parts warehouse and the workshop maintenance area; in this activity I led the team in the rigorous application of the methodology, achieving the results requested by the company management; after I proposed redefinition layout projects, for both areas, in order to optimize the spaces and material flows
