I worked as a primary health care provider starting with my employment with the Nigeria Prisons services currently known as nigeria correctional services. As a superintendent of prisons I was saddle with the health care of about eight hundred prisoners and about two hundred and fifty officers attached to the command.I conducted environmental sanitation within the prisons and ran clinical services for the inmates daily between 09-14:00 hrs Monday through Friday. Weekends I provided just ward rounds to make sure medications are given as when due.On admission of each prisoner within the facility, Tuberculosis tests are mandatory and that I supervised from sputum collections through transportation to our own laboratory within the clinic in the facility where sputum microscopy is done and then specimen well refrigerated awaiting collection to the centre where they are subjected to other confirmation tests. I worked in medium and maximum security and female prisons across the country as my promotion to higher ranks demand.From 2012, . This informed the decision in collaboration with KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation under the leadership of Dr Mustapha Gidado Nigeria Prisons Service was then included in there END TB programs from 2012 till date All the medical personnels were trained on how to diagnose prevent and treat Tuberculosis in prisons. The existing laboratories were upgraded. Microscopes were supplied and the clinics were given facelift. I was trained as a trainer and facilitator in all TB programs. I facilitated in training programs across the country also training other military and paramilitary health personnels including customs and immigration heath personnels. On retirement in 2013, I continued facilitator for the national program until 2016. Though I was engaged severally as a consultant for KNCV(please see my CV) MSH as it comes. 2017/18 I was at New gate college of health technology as the provost. Very briefly. I worked as technical aid corp member as a regional epidemiologist/physician in Equatorial Guinea Mongomo regional hospital 1995 February to 1997 July, after which I returned back to Prisons Service. A team player per excellence and a linguist. My love for languages is fuelled by my frequent travel to countries of interest. As it is said, old soldier never dies. Though retired from service, but still good to go in Public Health affairs..A leader by example and skilled to succeed in all I do and gender friendly.
