Although I have built my career around Lean principles, I enjoy starting floor check-ins around an operator’s life outside of work — family, hobbies, or sports teams. Once I develop that initial rapport, I can more easily transition to discussing their latest project or task. From there, I can make sure this operator is getting the proper support and look for ways to augment their skills. Since I genuinely understand what makes people tick and value them as human beings, I have successfully built trust with teammates from globally diverse backgrounds. By developing and leading top talent with EQ, I drive organizational health, reductions in safety incidents, and significant profit margin growth. With this approach, I deliver business results while never losing sight of placing the highest value on my team. 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄After working as an engineer for seven years, I shifted to a new passion: leading cross-functional teams that integrate to deliver supply chain optimization. As I worked my way up at Kimberly-Clark North America (KCNA), I pursued internal promotions that challenged me with complex problems and broader levels of accountability. During this time, I worked in union and non-union facilities in different U.S. regions. From these diverse cultural experiences, I became more agile and flexible to develop the best organizational culture.
