My role focused on leveraging data to provide insights and analytics to internal departments as well as managing the data infrastructure. Fusion Analytics is a management consulting firm that focuses on providing strategic insights and direction to C-level executives at many of Canada's top retailers. Joined the data science team as one of the first of 4 data scientists, and helped the team grow to 10 people. My role primarily focused on providing marketing insights to clients. I worked closely with clients and stakeholders and managed projects end-to-end from managing project requirements and data collection to building models and presenting results. Highlights of some of the projects include:• Designed and built Media Mix Models for multiple national-level retailers using a Bayesian Hierarchical regression model in R to assess the incremental sales impact and ROI of different marketing channels. • Presented strategic and actionable insights to client Marketing and C-suite executives on how to improve and optimize marketing efficiency based on results from the Media Mix Models on a monthly basis. • Analyzed retailers’ customer funnel to identify bottlenecks in the path-to-purchase process and provided recommendations on how to drive revenue.• Determined the optimal allocation to different marketing channels for a retailer’s $25M+ annual marketing budget based on historical marketing performance.

• Managed and trained the Mechanical sub-team of 10 people• Designed and built a Mars Rover to compete internationally in the University Rover Challenge against 80+ university teams across the world• Built a rover to traverse over rough terrain in the Utah desert to retrieve a variety of objects and conduct science experiments while being controlled remotely through cameras• Delegated tasks to team member and managed tight project deadlines• 2017 University Rover Challenge - 6th out of 82 international teams (2nd in North America).• 2016 University Rover Challenge - 6th out of 63• Designed multiple mechanical components of a Mars Rover to compete in the international University Rover Challenge - Manufactured and assembled designed components in the machine shop

• Developed and tested an Excel VBA-based tool that greatly automated the manual processes within the department. Automatically generated visual graphs and statistics on provided data.• Coordinated and managed the material quoting process of 30+ aerospace and defense projects from customers such as Honeywell, United Technologies and Raytheon to win new business.• Managed on average 3-5 projects at any given time• Worked on the transition of bringing Honeywell’s Tucson manufacturing site to Celestica. Responsible for the year-long validation process of Honeywell’s existing material data and pricing (estimated $60M annual revenue).

Mississauga, Ontario

• Researched and analyzed the effects of changing different settings in Eclipse, the radiation treatment planning software, on the radiation intensity output. • Created a MATLAB based software tool that automated most of the process of creating a model for patient radiation treatments.• The software simultaneously optimizes 5 parameters settings in Eclipse to accurately match radiation treatment machine output to within 2mm. • Automates a previously manual process that used to take days.• Created an easy-to-use interface with many flexible customization options.
