Ed Richardson is the Founder and Principal of Chastain Film Capital -- a development (feature film and tv) and production company (DGA and SAG Signatory) focused on story, and an independent, boutique studio consultancy (Studio Development, Sales, Marketing and Operations Management).Chastain underwrites the cost of scripting and production funding for auteur-driven content, developing adaptations based on existing literary works as well as non-fiction based intellectual property, and provides advisory services to the studio industry in the US and UK. Current projects include a feature adaptation of Kathrine Switzer's best-selling book, Marathon Woman: Running the Race to Revolutionize Women's Sports, Flannery O'Connor's A Good Man is Hard to Find as well as feature adaptations of The Washington Post's Violin Thief and Bill Arnett Won't Shut Up (source IP written by The Washington Post’s national arts reporter Geoff Edgers). Also the Owner of R&R Productions Worldwide (Est. 2004 - a marketing communications, promotions, advertising, brand consulting & content creation company) and serving as Writer, Director, Producer and Head of Client Services and Sales - previously Richardson was a Sr. Writer / Producer and Manager of Showcases for Turner’s Entertainment Group for a decade at TBS, Cartoon Network and Turner South. As a founding Owner/Operator and Managing Partner of Atlanta Metro Studios, Richardson's 404 Studio Partners conceived and developed AMS (which includes the two largest purpose built sound stages in North America) and created and ran all Sales, Marketing and Operations until 2018, building and running the business pipeline with clients including Sony Pictures, Marvel / 20th Century Fox Television, Universal Pictures, CBS, Netflix, EFO Films, Amblin Entertainment and HBO. Richardson has produced, line produced and production managed feature length films and teleplays, served as a promotions and marketing consultant and produced / production managed high profile live filmed events (NYC, LA, SF, Nashville, Atlanta, Europe) for numerous networks and clients, and written and executive produced television series content as well as countless commercial projects, and marketing and communications initiatives for blue chip brands over the last two decades. A graduate of the Art Institute of Atlanta and Louisiana State University, Richardson is a member of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and the American Film Institute and was named one of the Most Influential Georgians for 2018, 2017 and 2016 by James Magazine.
