Invited to join a Middle Office Pilot Project within UBS. The pilot project initially took on 10% of UBS wealth management account (Singapore and Hong Kong) opening during the pilot phase, and went on to serve 100% of accounts in Singapore and Hong Kong. Key Responsibilities:-• Acted as the Control Tower involving high levels of communication with both front and back office stakeholders - with varying levels of seniority. • Maintained hundreds of accounts and ensured that each account was attended to within the Service Level Agreement (SLA) threshold. • Daily and weekly reports were sent in a timely manner to management for assessment on the effectiveness of the Pilot.Key Achievements:-• Forecasted expected performance using existing data of Pilot Performance. This allowed for additional lead time and root cause evaluation in Pilot Performance, which was initially unavailable.• Assisted with migration of 100% of Singapore and Hong Kong account opening to the new process.

Assisted with US Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (US FATCA) document checks and processing. The role involved assessing each declared account status and the compliance regulatory demands. Key Responsibilities:-• Documents review of the UBS Self-Certification forms (i.e. FASC1 to FASC6), official IRS W8-BEN/ W8-BEN-E form • Due Diligence and KYC documents (e.g. COI, MAA9, COS9. FINST, etc.) for verification of declared statusKey Achievements:-• Due to the global deadline in June 2016, there was tremendous pressure on the team to deliver daily accounts efficiently and accurately. With approval from FATCA team lead, implemented several improved processes to ease the workload on the team. • Initiated daily statistics to be collated in order for high level perspective of resource requirement. The relevant team allocation and load balancing was conducted based on advice from the statistics.• Formed a small team to dedicate attention to ad-hoc project demands, acting as a buffer that previously broke momentum of the remediation team. • Coordinated effort on high priority accounts (High AUM and US trading accounts) to ensure that accounts with highest risk of impact were resolved. • Refined periodic data obtained to ensure project team had information that enabled a swift and smooth approach toward remediation.
