As a Facilitator I was responsible for the education, mentorship, and safety of Shad participants. My role lasted from preparations as early as April, until the end of the program on July 26th. I had many roles within my position, which has helped me improve my leadership skills along with my technical skills. My roles included, but were not limited to....- Leading a workshop for Python coding alone for over 45 Shad students going into grades 11 and 12.- Mentoring and guiding Shads through technical learning such as with building an Arduino board and connecting it to software, connecting a Texas Instrument TI-Innovator hub and coding with it (to program different coloured light sequences, different sound frequencies, and more!), building a "SHADBOT Car" (robot), conducting water sampling tests with ecoli testing, testing medical equipment for quality assurance, etc.- Leading Design Team sessions every day where Shads were challenged to come up with a solution to help Canada reach its green clean energy goals with given resources. This role included teaching and lecturing shads content material, guiding them through their ideation, research, prototype, and pitching phases, connecting Shads to mentors in a career related to green clean energy, facilitating an environment where Shads can collaborate with their team, and more. At the end of the program, my team pitched their solution to a panel of judges from various backgrounds related to green clean energy. - Hosting Shad days (opening, closing, hosting events, welcoming guest speakers, organizing seminars, etc.)- Providing guidance to Shads on the transition to university and answering any questions related to it.- Facilitating networking seminars and panels for Shads (such as the session with Dr. Shawna Pandya on becoming an astronaut, with Dr. Mindy Tindall on starting and running a successful multi-million dollar company improving healthcare environments and making them more accessible, and more).

The Ontario Summer Company Program, provided by the Hamilton Business Centre, accepted my business plan for my landscaping business. Through this, I had received funding and mentorship from the program to help scale my landscaping business, "Lawn Rangers". Throughout this experience I had developed further experience with door to door sales, marketing online, business negotiations, and understanding how to run a registered business in Ontario (with the mentorship of the Hamilton Business Centre on taxes, sales, marketing, leadership, entrepreneurship, and more).

Within my role at SHIR Foundation, a nonprofit organization providing necessities to underprivileged Afghans, I helped increase brand awareness through social media, SEO, and more.
