I enjoy being a leader in the energy products & services practice at MCR Performance Solutions, LLC because we know innovative strategy and execution void of self-interest are critical to success as the utility business evolves. Given the convergence of challenges facing utilities, collaboration among MCR's EE, Regulatory, Strategy and Finance practices is increasingly valuable. I am privileged to be able to speak into all four areas through the diversity of my 30 years experience in EE, rates, resource planning and regulation. By investing five years away from utilities themselves to serve a regional EE and energy policy non-profit I benefit from relationships throughout the "demand-side space" including efficiency program administrators, industry partners, states, the advocacy community, and federal energy efficiency entities such as ENERGY STAR and the U.S. DOE. This proves to create a powerful combination to add value to electric and gas utilities, both investor-owned and public, as they deal with growth, earnings, reliability, planning and operational issues related to the evolving utility business model driven by EE, DR, DER and the ever-increasing engagement and empowerment of customers.
