Buildbarn is an Open Source server-side implementation of Bazel's Remote Execution protocol. With Buildbarn, you can set up your own on-prem or cloud-based cluster for building software at scale. While mainly designed for Bazel, it can be used in combination with other build systems that implement this protocol, such as BuildStream, Recc, Goma and Pants.

Wrote build scripts to build LLVM and Clang as part of 'buildworld'. This branch got merged into HEAD; GCC has been replaced by Clang.2010+: Worked on improving FreeBSD's conformance to standards such as POSIX 2008, C11 and C++11.

Nuxi is a company that is working on infrastructure that will make it easier to manage UNIX-based applications in the cloud. Applications will run more robustly, but will also be run in such a way that security is improved over conventional UNIX environments.

Developed a black-box probing/monitoring system for a cloud message passing framework. This probing/monitoring system allowed us to discover various minor implementation flaws that caused message delivery to fail.Phased out a large web hosting cluster (~100 servers in ~70 sites) by migrating a massive amount of data into a planet-scale filesystem/web service. In the process, proposed various performance improvements for this filesystem. This migration affected tens of thousands of Google employees.Designed and deployed a distributed system for deploying installation media and boot configurations of workstations, laptops and desk phones throughout the company's corporate network.

Developed a web portal to manage virtual machines on a cluster of servers.

Gave lectures and workshops on C/C++ software development on embedded Linux systems. Also wrote the course material and prepared the software development suite used by the students.Added high-resolution timer support for an NXP ARM9 development board (LPC3250). This driver is now part of the Linux kernel.
