I am proud to say I am an Electronic Engineer, graduated from the Politecnica-USP in 1980, with over 35 years of experience as an R&D director, specializing in real-time software development, motion control, and, more recently, artificial intelligence. I founded MCS in 1983, and my career is intertwined with the company's success story, which gained prominence by developing the first compact CNC for low-cost lathes and milling machines in Brazil, during a period when the IT market was closed to foreign companies. Our CNC quickly became the most sought-after in Brazil and South America, automating over 15,000 CNC machines in a few hundreds of industrial applications. Leading MCS, together with BNDES and the Ministry of Science and Technology, we significantly contributed to the development of the national CNC machinery industry.Over the years, as Chief Engineer, I led the development of several generations of CNCs, from the CNC 100/200 for transfer lines and cutting machines in 1984, to the CNC Proteo PC, based on Windows 10 and capable of controlling complex machines connected to the cloud, and finally, to SYNCAT, launched in 2021, a CNC aimed at Precision Agriculture, designed to democratize access to CNC technology in the same way MCS did for the industry.In 2014, MCS was acquired by Kollmorgen, where I continued as R&D Director and a member of the technology committee, collaborating with renowned scientists on advanced projects such as tomography, genome mapping, and military applications, especially in the field of Motion Control. My international experience expanded through collaboration with development teams in Germany, Switzerland, the United States, and China, enriching my knowledge and enhancing my ability to lead high-complexity technology projects.After my time at Kollmorgen, I founded Secure Roads in 2018 to share my successful experience with entrepreneurial leaders, helping them find their way back to the path of growth. In 2021, I founded GoWet to bring my CNC expertise to the Precision Agriculture sector, offering innovative and affordable solutions to small and medium-sized producers. With SYNCAT, we are transforming access to precision technology, just as we did with MCS’s CNC in the 1980s.Currently, I’m pursuing a long-time dream by doing my Ph.D. at the Polytechnic School of USP in Computer Engineering, focusing on artificial intelligence and autonomous agricultural vehicles.My passion for work is evident in every project I take on and know how I value detailed objectives and deep knowledge of the topics involved.
