In the last two decades he has gathered and accumulated experiences in planning approaches in contexts characterized by uncertainties, instabilities and potential conflicts known as "wicked problems".It uses specific design processes to create in person and online environments and means, mainly configured to reveal opportunities and alternatives for development, innovation and refinement of systems.He works in the development of systematic approaches for culture change through the internalization of systems and critical thinking, exploration of scenarios and cooperation practices. He defines and combines instruments and means to create and maintain the focus in environments involving multiple actors and decision makers with different levels of knowledge and wide range of interests.This approach allows the coordination and facilitation of processes for groups, teams, leaderships and governance structures targeting results-oriented effective actions, and network structuring.The designed processes enhance capabilities of articulation, co-creation, agreement-building and cooperation for change management in a diverse context of scales and complexities. His work aims to promote individual and collective maturation in problems and alternatives perception, understanding and reflection.With more than 20 years of experience in the development of methods, processes and techniques applied to various stakeholders involved in the planning and development of cities and master plans,, Cattoni is also dedicated to research on urban networks understanding and structuring at multiple scales for support of a more sustainable territorial development.
