CurrentEd Ryan, CPA, is a partner with CohnReznick and leads the Firm’s Bethesda office Tax Practice. He has more than 40 years of experience providing tax, accounting, and business advisory services. He has earned national recognition for his experience in real estate syndication, partnership and real estate taxation, and affordable housing, as well as for his work involving the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and the federal and state historic tax credit programs. Ed’s work with the LIHTC includes tax credit projects involving developers (both for-profit and nonprofit), syndicators, equity partners, and local and statewide housing authorities. Additional areas of Ed’s specialized technical knowledge include partnership allocations, tax planning, taxation compliance review, structuring tax credit transactions, and preparing financial projections used to solicit debt and equity financing for real estate transactions.
