Ed Steenhoek has been passionate about Intelligent Information Management (IIM) since his first steps in the ECM field at the beginning of this century. Over the years, Ed has developed strong analytical skills and has assisted many organisations as a business analyst in defining requirements and desires before a solution is considered to meet these needs.Ed feels comfortable in the business but also as a connection between the business and IT. His communication skills ensure that he is very capable of switching between typical IIM jargon and all levels of the company. He can view business challenges from multiple angles to apply his in-depth knowledge of the current state of IIM technology to create effective functional solutions.When time is available, he experiments with new technologies and services to understand the challenges of tomorrow and their solutions. Since 2022, he has been delving into a new passion: Generative AI. He knows what it is, where it excels, what the dangers are, and other questions that are relevant now that artificial intelligence has permanently changed the information landscape.Ed leads the Strategy Team for Informed Group. This is the think tank that provides strategic direction to Informed Group and continually follows developments in the field.He is also an active member of AIIM, the international professional organisation for intelligent information management, and their Leadership Council where the future of the field is discussed and debated. He holds their Certified Information Professional certification since 2017.Ed is a speaker at conferences and events. Like no one else, he knows how to bridge the gap between recognition from everyday life and the use of information in business processes based on current and future possibilities.
