Responsible for directing the following clinical services; Respiratory Care, Sleep Disorder's Center, Pulmonary Function Lab and the Asthma Care Program with a combined annual operating budget of $3+ million and a staff of 50+ individuals. Additional responsibilities/positions included: Co-Chair, Leadership Development Institute – 2008/2015Coordinated organizational-wide leadership development & training for the organization’s 225+ leaders for a total of 22 consecutive, full day off-site programs. Responsible for program content, speaker selection, theme application, contracts and facility coordination. Achieved/maintained a program rating of 4.40/5.00 over 250+ topics/speakers.Chair – Employee Crisis Relief Fund - 2014/2015Designed and implemented an employee funded program to assist coworkers during crisis. In < 2 years engaged > 10% of the workforce to pledge/donate nearly $50K and provided emergency relief/assistance to 35+ individuals.Project Manager - Point of Care Blood Gas Analysis - 2013Pioneered implementation of bedside blood gas analysis employing point-of-care (POC) handheld devices and wireless interfaces to dramatically reduce turnaround time of results by 90% (20 min vs. 2 min) which enabled a more patient centric model of care.Project Manager – Ventilator Associated Pneumonia (VAP) Reduction - 2009/2015Designed strategies to mitigate VAP and directed a multidisciplinary team with the implementation resulting in the rate dropping from 5.1/1,000 vent days in 2009 to 0.0/1,000 vent days YTD through 10/2015Program Director - Asthma Education Program 2011/2015Facilitated the design and coordinated the implementation of a comprehensive, evidence-based asthma education program to decrease potentially avoidable emergency room visits and hospitalizations. The program decreased subsequent ED visits and hospital admissions by 2/3rds, substantially increased quality of life scores and decreased lost school/work days of participants.
