As an instructional technology leader, I coached teachers and students in integrating technology into their curriculum and instruction. I worked with educators at the elementary, middle and high school levels, providing coaching, training, and resources on various digital tools and systems. I also collaborated with school and district leaders to develop and implement technology initiatives and policies.Before becoming an instructional technology coach, I taught government and economics at the high school level, where I used innovative and engaging methods to foster civic learning and participation. I have a passion for education and technology, and I am always eager to learn new skills and share best practices.Some of the skills and achievements that I gained in this position are:- Communicating effectively with different audiences, such as teachers, students, administrators, and parents, using various modes and channels of communication, such as email, phone, video, chat, website management, and social media.Providing guidance, feedback, and support to teachers and students on how to use technology effectively. I helped them identify their goals, challenges, and opportunities, and offered solutions that matched their needs and expectations. I also monitored their progress and celebrated their achievements.- Using and teaching various technology tools and platforms, such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Canvas, Zoom, and many other educational technology applications. I demonstrated how to use these tools and platforms to enhance learning and productivity. I also troubleshooted common issues and resolved them quickly and efficiently.- The collaboration skills in this role have given me experience in working with school and district leaders to plan and implement technology initiatives and policies. I have aligned my actions and decisions with the vision and mission of the organization. I have also collaborated with other instructional technology coaches and stakeholders to share best practices and learn from each other.
