Brontes commercialized the first digital workflow in dentistry. Key challenges included stabilization and production of complex optics, high-speed image processing to support real-time image guidance, a computer vision pipeline to create dense 3D meshes from a single optical channel and the UX of the scanning experience. I also participated in patient trials and managed the development of a scan-enhancing powder and delivery system.Brontes was a career highlight, turning a complex, high-precision optical prototype into a simpler, handheld device. I was the recipient of one of the first milled zirconia crowns from a Brontes scan. -
