I worked with XL Hybrids to develop engineering plans and a new team structure. This enabled XL to shift from an underperforming third-party hybrid-electric drive system to build its own motors, batteries, and battery management software system. This became the basis of their commercial product line.

Kuvée developed an alternative to the glass wine bottle to maintain the freshness of wine for 4-6 weeks after opening. We shipped 30,000 bottles of wine, created an IoT system, and used 3D printing for small-scale production.

I reorganized a startup team of molecular biologists to develop a Listeria detection assay that runs in six hours, without 24 hours of enrichment. Sample6 received the first commercial certification by the AOAC as a non-enrichment test capable of detecting a single Listeria cell.

Brontes was acquired by 3M ESPE, Digital Oral Care, in 2006 for 95M. Our 3D scanner was part of the 3M product line from 2008 until 2016 and was used on over half a million patients.

I led all engineering activities in the development of an FDA-approved Class II handheld 3D intraoral scanner to replace traditional dental impressions. Brontes commercialized the first digital workflow in dentistry. Zmed was acquired by Varian in 2003 for 33M and accounted for 13 million in sales in 2004, 20% growth over 2003. By the end of 2005, over 500 units were installed in hospitals in the US and Japan.

Zmed created a series of high-precision 3D Ultrasound-guided radiotherapy and radiosurgery devices for cancer therapy. I led all aspects of engineering, including software, electronics, mechanical, and a series of successful FDA class II submissions. Five hundred patient positioning systems were installed in hospitals and cancer treatment centers in the US.

Alchemy3D was acquired by Synapix in February of 1999. I managing the computer vision team at SynaPix.
