I oversaw acquisition due diligence and the complex post-acquisition integration for BAE Systems including accounting, HR, security, and contract novation. P&L responsibility for over $25M annually.A large aspect of this integration involved preventing and resolving internal clashes between APTI and BAE staff, which I accomplished so successfully that 90% of APTI employees were retained. I reached out to the various departments of BAE to form relationships and foster business partnerships to ensure a gateway for APTI business into the BAE customer base.I led numerous R&D projects at BAE, always focusing on bringing more practical applications to users. Part of this meant bringing in actual customers and users for feedback and insight into the holistic experience. Whether building a marketing tool or CRM system, I always emphasized the big picture of process and UX.In recognition of my early-stage business development expertise, I was selected to launch the first Colorado office including training the Site Lead, negotiating the office space, and bringing in contracts. This project led to a new market segment for BAE Systems.

With a $100K contract as seed funding to build a prototype and prove our value, I arrived at the new business unit, turned the lights on, and saw an empty room before me.
