About Edu Meneses
I'm a music technologist, composer, and performer in the best interdisciplinary fashion.My projects merge art and technology by using gestural control, sound synthesis, immersive experiences, and augmented instruments. These projects explore immersive experiences, hybridization, gestural control of sound systems, DSP, mapping (including sound spatialization), instrument/installation design, and performance.I have a Ph.D. in music technology from McGill University (IDMIL and CIRMMT), and I'm currently the lead researcher at the Société des Arts Technologiques (SAT). I work there on research-creation projects involving immersion in digital arts, embedded systems for digital musical instruments, and sound spatialization.
