Steel structures are also part of the field of work.Within the realm of structural engineering, seismic assessment of buildings and rehabilitation of existing structures are also routine tasks. Also responsible for developing Quantity Survey and Measurement Sheets.- O trabalho consistiu em analisar e projetar estruturas de betão armado, maioritariamente. Estruturas metálicas também englobam a área de atuação. No âmbito da engenharia estrutural, a avaliação sísmica de edifícios e reabilitação de estruturas existentes fazem parte da rotina igualmente.Também é de responsabilidade o desenvolvimento de Mapa de Quantidades e Folha de Medições.

- The occupation consisted of analyzing and designing steel structures and joints, at project and/or construction phase. Several softwares were used to assist the work, however, some stands out: Robot Autodesk, SolidWorks and IDEA StatiCa.- O trabalho consistiu na análise, dimensionamento e/ou estudo de montagem de estruturas e ligações metálicas. Diversos softwares foram utilizados para atingir os objetivos mas destacam-se: Robot Autodesk, IDEA StatiCa e SolidWorks.

- The fellow was within the scope of the research project NANOFIRE (Thermal and mechanical behavior of Nano Cements and its application in steel construction as a passive fire protection element), in partnership with FCT and ISISE, and had as objective the analysis of the addition of nanomaterials to improve the properties of cement to create a material with high performance standards, specifically as a passive fire protection mortar for steel structures.Team:1 - Aldina Maria da Cruz Santiago2 - Hugo Filipe dos Santos Caetano3 - Luís Miguel dos Santos Laím- O trabalho de pesquisa enquadrou-se no âmbito do projeto NANOFIRE (Comportamento térmico e mecânico da Nano Cimentos e sua aplicação na construção de aço como revestimento de proteção contra incêndios), em parceria com a FCT e com o ISISE, e teve como objetivos a utilização de nano materiais para melhorar de forma significativa as propriedades do cimento, criando desta forma um material capaz de satisfazer elevados padrões de desempenho, especificamente como elemento de proteção a estruturas de aço.Equipa:1 - Aldina Maria da Cruz Santiago2 - Hugo Filipe dos Santos Caetano3 - Luís Miguel dos Santos Laím
