Managing a great team of IT engineers to upgrade the whole company from an completely decentralized, unmanaged and heterogeneous mixture of endpoints, servers and services to an automated, fully cloud based, and structured environment.We have secured our devices to levels that seemed impossible 2 years ago, combining VMWare Workspace One (MDM), Carbon Black (NextGen AV), Okta (uID management) and AD based on AWS services.Together, we have, successfully deployed VMWare Workspace One in a company with more than 4000 running devices with no business disruption, fully remotely, starting from a wide variety of domain and non-domain joined machines, MDMs and standalone devices, Windows, MacOS, Linux, Android and iOS, devices, Desktop or Server versions and flavours.As the Global IT Director, I personally negotiated the agreements, designed and configured Workspace One, Okta, and the integration between them and the rest of our running environment.Now we have fully centralized and automated user identity, using Okta for managing, provisioning and SSO with MFA in all our applications and services, as well as for desktop identities. More than 100 applications, on-prem, SaaS or just cloud hosted or based, have been integrated with Okta.We have also delivered or renewed more than 75% of the devices in the company, reusing those in good condition or reclycling the obsolete or broken ones.Managed the migration of dozens of individual domains to the company principal one, as well as thousands of accounts and Terabytes of data moved without users being affected or their work interrupted.Also managed the standardization of the offices network hardware, design and security, as well as negotiated with global providers the purchase, installation and support agreements.Currently making the company NIST compliance and renew our ISO27001 certification, along with Security and Compliance department.
