Eduardo Chang is a User Interface and Visual designer. He has an academic background in Visual Arts and Graphic Design. He started working in 2001 in the fields of Graphic, Editorial Design, Branding and Visual Arts. In 2003 he got interested in the possibilities of html and css and started taking Web Design projects, discipline that later consolidated as UI Design.He's worked for institutions such as the Cultural Centre of Spain in El Salvador, Costa Rica's Museum of Contemporary Art & Design (MADC), Critical Mass's Costa Rica Chapter (Hangar) and Wunderman Thompson + Costa Rica. He's also worked as a freelancer for Advertising Agencies, Web Development Offices, Cultural, Institutions, and direct clients. As a Visual Artist he's received several acknowledgements and his work has been showed in Central America, Canada, Cuba, Spain and the United States of America, both in Group Exhibits as in Solo Shows.His design work has been published twice by TASCHEN (a publishing house specialized in design, visual arts and architecture) in the compilations LATIN AMERICAN GRAPHIC DESIGN and LOGO DESIGN VOL II. In 2012 he was recognized with an honorable mention for his typographic design entitled "AHORA" in the THIRD INTER-AMERICAN BIENNALE OF DESIGN, in Madrid, Spain. In 2019 one of his design infographics was accepted in the permanent collection of the Museum of Contemporary Art & Design in Costa Rica.Since 2018 he started teaching design and currently teaches a one year program on UI for Universidad Creativa in Costa Rica. He's regularly invited as a speaker, workshop organizer by Cultural Institutions and Universities on topics of Central American Contemporary Arts, Visual and UI Design.
