As a researcher at LASURF/PUC-Rio, I am part of a multidisciplinary team on the development of CO-foams as Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) method for the Brazilian Pre-Salt, funded by Shell.My attributions are:- Conduct part of the evaluation of the chemical stability of surfactant formulations and their use as CO2-foam stabilizing agents;- Study the foamability and foam stability aspects of CO2-foams in bulk;- Prepare reports and carry out follow up meetings with Shell team;- Writing of scientific papers;- Participation in scientific conferences;- Giving lectures as an assistant professor.

I worked as an postdoctoral researcher, associated to the Department of Chemistry of PUC-Rio, supervised by Prof. Aurora Pérez-Gramatges. As a PhD student in Chemistry at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) supervised by Prof. Edvaldo Sabadini, I researched surfactant formulations and the viscosifying effect of salt on them.Conducting my research provided me experience on planning and conducting experiments, as well as interpreting and reporting data. It also gave me a solid background of rheology, calorimetry and microscopy, among other physicochemical techniques.I also had the opportunity to develop teaching skills by giving lectures through the teacher internship program, additionaly to sharing my work and experience in scientific conferences.
