The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers is an organization that supports Hispanic students and professionals in STEM with the mission to empower the Hispanic community in the workforce. As a member I’ve had the chance to participate in several activities, fundraisers, and the SHPE National Convention.

- Participated and engaged with the development and completion of 2 Request for Proposal to optimize costs and optimize expenditure of indirect materials for Product Testing & Manufacturing with a focus on MRO. Assisted in the identification and implementation of data structures which would allow to more closely identify and categorize spend. Analyzed a total of about $100M worth in indirect materials.- Analyzed data relevant to the spend and inventory systems used at over 7 manufacturing facilities to understand the procedures and spend patterns under a 6 figure range for the amount of parts managed in SAP Arriba and SIEVO. Compiled information and determined relevant scopes to be implemented towards a future RFP for all manufacturing sites supporting the CMI EBU, CTT, CES, and Accelera. - Analyzed and created reports of Distribution Business Unit sites supporting Cummins Sales and Services North America, spend valued at around $257M. Identified critical spend criteria and supported the activities of 5 Group Category Leaders. Analyzed and looked for critical points aimed towards blanket POs, capital and non-capital spend, and top spend above $500K. - Participated in Supplier meetings relevant to quality, service provision, status of purchases, and forward-looking strategies to better manage data and information. Supported Seymour and Fridley sites in inventory related proposals and gathered information to implement towards future RFPs. Communicated directly with Suppliers. - Completed certifications in Stakeholder Management, Project Management, and Spend Analytics. - Created multiple reports and data dashboards to understand the level of data accuracy existent among 3 platforms of usage, identified the level of accuracy in which we could connect the platforms to more accurately track our real spend while understanding comparisons accurate at the time of supporting of bidding procedures and new product integrations for suppliers.

Managed dining hall operations at Walk On's franchise restaurant, served as a customer attendant and kitchen staff supporting both front-facing and back operations for smooth service and quality product provision.

Participant in the Winona Counselor in Training Program, a leadership, and training program that has existed for over 50 years within the camp programs for selected former campers.Within this role, I taught, experienced, and accompanied summer camp activities, training, and events for the different units offered within the camp (Junior, Intermediate, Senior) ranging in age from 5 years. old up to 15 years old. Focused on teaching sports, specializing in soccer, and swimming, with additional support in tennis and sailing. During this period I worked on organizing events such as the Wyonegonic/Winona Road Race, Big W Swim Meet, Winona Regatta, and various others throughout the 112th season at the century-old organization. Cooperated and worked under the Winona CIT Flex rotation, serving as a support staff member to camp maintenance, facility care, and dining operations.
