Engenieering consultant in Percpetive’s Pharmaceutical Division.As an Engineering Consultant I am involved in the design, development and comissioning of data-based optimisation solutions for various continuous and batch processes- Review process performance for clients using high volumes of data, identifying opportunities for improvement. Used techniques include statistical analysis and visualisation, outlier detection, PCA, PLS, RLS, neural networks and machine learning algorithms.- Development and commissioning of data-based model predictive controllers.- Process’ Data Analysis using multivariate statistical methods to improve system understanding and monitoring.- Design of experiments to generate informative data for model identification.- Development of calibration models based on multivariate statistical methods for condition monitoring and control. - Design and development of Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs).- Involved in the continuous improvement of Perceptive’s software for monitoring, prediction control and optimisation.

I conducted a 4-year PhD research on the use of multivariate statistical methods and machine learning algorithms for data-based modelling and control of chemical batch processes.My role as Graduate Teaching Assistant consisted of working as demonstrator during undergrad and MSc lab sessions, assisted with the marking of students’ work including assessed coursework. I also worked as lab demonstrator during the university's open days.During my PhD I also worked as a Project Mentor for MSc students. My role as project mentor consisted of assisting postgraduate students to gain expertise in design, modelling or analysis tools in the initial (group) phase of their project and supporting these students during the second (individual) phase. I worked as a project mentor for students enrolled in the MSc in Advanced Control and Systems Engineering.

Worked offshore as ROV Submersible Engineer/Night Shift Supervisor during drilling and survey operations in deep water projects. As a Submersible Engineer I carried out the following activities:- Ensured that the Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV) and all its systems were in complete working order and in compliance with all technical requirements throughout the contract period.- Organised the planned maintenance for the ROV system and maintained complete technical records and logs, including any authorised modifications.- Proposed and carried out changes to the ROV's electrical system. Installed software upgrades to the ROV's control console. Tuned the PID used to control the ROV's bearing angle.- Ensured that operations were conducted in compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation and company policy, plans and procedures.- Led toolbox talks and pre-job safety meetings.- Mentored and trained new ROV staff.- Gave corrective and preventive maintenance to the electronics, communications and control systems of the ROV.- Diagnosed and solved electrical instrumentation equipment problems.- Carried out general operations team duties, such as piloting, as required (I have over 220 hours of cumulative pilot hours).

Worked as Instrumentation & Control Engineer during the 9th refuel of the Nuclear Reactor no.2 of Laguna Verde Nuclear Power Plant. Six month contract.- Supervised the planned maintenance given to pneumatic actuators and the instrumentation associated with them.

Six month Internship at the Telecommunications Department of the Laguna Verde Nuclear power plant.- Installed computer networks and telephone automatic switchboards.- Gave preventive and corrective maintenance to security systems (X rays, proximity and bomb detectors).
