I have 8+ years of practical experience in building highly available systems of extraction, ingestion, processing and serving large data sets. My very first data engineering challenge was to build a Data Lake using AWS, Spark and Hadoop. Since then, I have helped evolving it by creating and maintaining dozens of automated pipelines, implementing new features and adopting new technologies. Always focusing on cost optimization, performance, automation, security and providing the best interface to access and manipulate the data.I also have full understanding of how to transform raw data in relevant information to solve practical problems. I have created hundreds of features to machine learning algorithms, to support decision making and to help analysts to understand business scenarios.Today I coordinate and work together with my teams to improve Data Lakes with new tools and best practices, to guarantee data quality and to extract intelligence from the data.
