• Planning, coordination and consolidation of annual budget (Budget) with quarterly reviews (forecasts). Construction of scenarios based on the calculation and definition of:o Volumes and production mix;o Productivity and labor needs: payroll costs (salaries and wages) and benefits.o Direct and indirect material costs.o Fixed costs: fixed production costs and SG&A.o Capital requirement and depreciation calculation.• Planning and coordination of a multi-year strategic plan: projection of the plant's financial and operational results over the next 7 years.• Report directly to the headquarters in the USA: creation of presentations to demonstrate results; feeding financial information into systems (SAP and internal systems); direct contact with the division's finance department for explanations and support; meeting demands from senior management; benchmarking and participation in meetings with financial analysts from other units.• Follow-up of Actual vs. Budget by cost center and account, providing explanations and corrective measures for deviations.• Calculation and consolidation of the unit's financial results (P&L) for both forecasts and actual results, using the US-GAAP: standard costs, absorption vs. expenses, classification of expenses between deferrals and non-deferrals, inventory valuation, etc.• Interface with all areas of the plant to coordinate, calculate and follow-up the budget.

Work focused on cost management at Abbott's Belo Horizonte plant, part of the Structural Heart (SH) division where biological heart valves are produced.Among the main activities carried out, the following stand out:• Active participation in medium and long-term budget and forecast processes.• Execution of cost closing routines in the Protheus system (Totvs).• Analysis of actual vs. budgeted: identification and explanation of the main drivers of variations.• Ensure compliance with best inventory accounting practices and reporting them to external audit.• New products analysis: calculating the cost of new products side by side with engineering and production areas, measuring labor, material, and indirect costs.• Analysis and approval of capital investments (CapEx).• Monitoring continuous improvement projects: projection and measurement of gains with the responsible areas.

Acting as a business partner for the industrial department, providing senior management with strategic information and insights, always seeking to ensure continuous improvement in costs and performance.Main activities:• Work with industrial plants in preparing budgets and trends.• Work in the company's strategic planning with long-term cost projection (10 years) and capital investment analysis (project valuation).• Consolidation and weekly analysis of cost trends; follow up of KPIs, performance analysis.• Preparation of internal and global cost benchmarking with analysis of KPIs, fixed costs, raw material prices. Support for continuous improvement projects of KPIs with technical areas, measurement of gains.• Monitoring and detailed analysis of fixed costs as well as raw material inventories (volumes and days of consumption, impact on working capital).• Interface with stakeholders of the industrial department (environment, Health and Safety, IT, technical areas of each plant) as well as with other areas of the financial department, acting as a link between both.
