Within the responsibilities of this position, I lead teams and peers to focus on design excellence and ensure successful delivery of multiple projects, teams or functions. Oversee the interior design process and establish project direction and work within project budgets and schedules. I meet with clients to discuss their goals, needs and resources. I manage multiple projects and a team of senior, intermediate and junior designers delegating and assigning tasks appropriately.Understand the requirements of the plans, life safety issues, building codes and other technical aspects; knowledgeable in the areas of design, drawing and details, finishes and building materials, specifications, codes, technical drawing, contract administration and business practices.Manage teams in the production of construction documents consisting of plans, elevations, details and specifications, to illustrate non-structural and/or non-seismic partition layouts; power and communications locations reflected ceiling and lighting plans; materials, products and finishes; and furniture selection, specifications and layouts.Establish, foster and cultivate good client relationships and mentor and train intermediate and junior designers.In addition, I pro-actively externally promote the services of CHIL Interior Design. Within the responsibilities of this position, I execute and review all phases of a project and ensure that all standards are being met for any given project. Within the responsibilities of this position, I worked very closely with Team Leaders and design leaders in the development of innovative and creative concepts and designs for various clients within the hospitality, retail and residential field, from space planning, schematic design, and design development. In addition, I coordinated construction documents with architects and contractors when required. Also, I developed and worked intricate architectural details and built-ins (millwork). Within the responsibilities of this position, I performed site observations and construction administration when project requires, attended weekly construction meetings as well as client meetings, reviewed/revised and provided response to shop drawings and RFI reviews and submittals; and provided post construction/project close-out project services. Worked closely with clients, design staff, general contractors and consultants to ensure project deadlines and budgets were met. Worked and coordinated with code consultants to ensure project compliance with all required local codes, ADA, fire code, etc. Led teams in the development of construction documents for various clients within the corporate and residential field.
