Since the beginning of his career, Eduardo Moura acknowledged the importance of continuous learning and teaching. He started giving internal training in Texas Instruments as early as 1981. In 1984, he started to offer public training courses on quality, as a part-time activity. Senior EngineerIbm Brasil - Hortolandia Site Aug 1985 - Jul 1992In July 1985 was hired by IBM Brazil to work as Senior Engineer in the Components Qualification Laboratory of the Hardware Technology Center in the Sumaré plant. From Jan/87 to Jan/88 worked as an assignee in the CCP - Corporate Component Procurement section of the General Technology Division of IBM Poughkeepsie, NY, developing qualification tests for D-RAM (Dynamic Random Access Memory). From 1990 till 1992 structured and managed the Quality Committee of the Hardware Technology Center, being responsible for the activities of IBM's worldwide Market-Driven Quality (MDQ) process for excellence, based on Motorola's Six Sigma initiative. Developed and trained IBM managers and executives on Six Sigma and MDQ concepts and philosophy. Received the award "1991 Market Driven Quality Professional" from IBM Brazil. As head of the Quality Committee, was also responsible for the development and certification of electronic, electrical and mechanical parts suppliers for the Sumaré plant. From Oct/91 until Aug/92 leaded the ISO 9001 certification program for the Hardware Technology Center. In that period also participated in the National Quality Award process (Brazilian version of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award), where IBM Sumaré became the first Brazilian company to obtain the award, in 1992. -

During that period revised and issued Quality Control specifications and gave technical training on quality activities to QC inspectors and technicians. Pioneered the first training and implementation activities of Statistical Process Control in the plant, during 1981.Made several trips to the reliability laboratories of Texas Instruments in Dallas; receiving training on life testing, environmental testing and failure analysis of semiconductor devices.
