Responsible for operating the appropriate drilling equipment. Responsible for operating the mine’s air compressors. Assist in ventilation installation. Assist in water supply installation. Assist in the preparation for discharging explosive. Responsible for the proper training of offsiders in all drilling cycles. Responsible for on going communication with supervisors. Miner Development1. Receives instruction from section managers.2. Fully in charge of directing men and initiates the move in the conduct of the job in working place, like: Mucking of newly blaster round. Operates loader in the absence of the operator or authorizes any member of crew. Cleaning face drilling and installation of drilling platform or staging as the case may be. Make face drilling according to give control point and size of drive. Drilling of round. Cleaning of drill holes. Charging of explosives. Lacing and proper timing of firing sequence. Installation of adequate support if working place is in bad ground condition. Cleaning of muck or rock falls from sides of drive and center of tracks when working in main heading.3. Insures Safety Examines for misfires before starting to drill. Posting of required guards to prevent other men from getting into danger zone of blasting. Insures installation of adequate support when working on weak ground. Making safe and proper handling of equipment and materials. Coordinates work and working place to prevent accident and confusion when other section are involve such as tracks and equipping tools.4. Shall see to it that air hoses are to be blown with air for cleaning before connecting same to drill machines or loaders. Pours oil into hose before connecting to the machine.5. Reports all mechanical and electrical defects of equipment.6. Ensures that ventilation set-up in the working area is adequate.7. Ensures that equipment are retreated to safe place prior to blasting to avoid damage.
