Product Applications Manager
As part of the restructuring of the GE unit in Florianopolis to serve the global market, I assumed the position of Product Applications Manager, whose three main objectives involve homologation and promotion support, after-sales technical support and application support for all sales and operations teams in Grid Automation division of GE Grid Solutions from all regions of the world for the Reason Product Line.In this position, the major challenges are to lead a multidisciplinary team aiming to grow sales through regional teams around the world, and maintain the excellent level of service and after-sales service and application on a global scale from the local operation of Florianopolis, considering the following priorities: - Accompany and collaborate on homologations and promotions for the main business opportunities in the regions; - Train and engage regional teams; - Create a post-sales support policy at all levels through a tiered support structure levels 1 and 2 and global support level 3; - Implement and monitor indicators and tools to control product failures to stipulate the best equipment repair strategy considering the global scale of coverage. This new challenge allows me to add new areas of knowledge beyond the commercial expertise acquired throughout my career and, consequently, makes it possible to understand an even greater part of the customer service chain.
Sales & Proposal Manager
I was assigned as Sales Manager of Reason Tecnologia S.A. responsible for a 10-employee commercial team, and was kept in the same position after the acquisition of Reason by Alstom and later GE. This team was responsible for a 15-20% yearly average growth in orders in Latin American market, consolidating Reason brand in the power sector.As Sales Manager my main objectives were to coordinate, engage and empower the sales team, plan, organize and supervise all business activities of the company, aiming to achieve the established goals of sales volume, profitability, market share and quality of service, through the following activities:- Track and analyze company billings based on market data and business prospects in progress;- Plan together with production the availability of products that can meet projected demand;- Maintain current commercial conditions (lead-times, payment terms, prices, discounts and guarantees);- Manage the commercial flow of the department (inputs and outputs), in order to guarantee reliability and quality of the information within the deadlines required by internal and external customers;- Identify opportunities for new markets for the company's products and potential for the current ones;- Maintain contact with current customers by identifying the level of satisfaction and correcting any problems;- Monitor the competitor's commercial actions;- Elaborate and publish price lists.After Reason's acquisition, the activities were kept the same for Latin American market, but some new responsibilities were added looking for the worldwide expansion through the new sales force created by all regional sales teams Alstom/GE has around the globe. I also became in charge of the pricing for Reason products for all the selling units in the world, negotiating and keeping track of opportunities and difficulties.These new activities enabled interaction with different cultures and to learn more about the power sector around the globe.

Founded in 1991, Reason Tecnologia S.A was an independent company until December 2013, when it was acquired by Alstom Grid and later by GE Grid Solutions, becoming a product line for Grid Automation business and a research, development, manufacturing and commercial unit. Reason is recognized by innovation and commitment to the customers, developing monitoring, synchronization, automation and network solutions for the electrical power sector.During my period as Sales Engineer I had several important challenges, the first was to keep the first class commercial support Reason always gave to Brazilian customers, keeping the brand as the most recognized one for digital fault recorders and GPS clocks solutions, achieving almost 90% market share in the local market. The second challenge was to start the company's expansion to other Latin American countries, where we first had good results in Peru, Colombia and Argentina.For both challenges the focus was always to show the products advantages and the added value that they could bring to the user, helping the system recovery during outages, saving money from penalties and protecting human lives.As Sales Engineer I had the chance to create a solid relationship chain with several customers from end-users to integrators and engineering companies such as Eletrobras, Engie, ISA, ONS, CAMMESA, Itaipu, ABB, Siemens, Schneider Electric, SEL and many others.
