Business initiatives of new IT products, including design and building of SaaS and mobile technology services.

Planning, management, and operations of large projects, with teams formed from different areas of the IT Infrastructure and Operations department. Projects were associated to the company’s IT transformation roadmap, and to the telecommunication engineering department. IT development manager of some of the company’s system solution centers, which included ERP systems (SAP, PeopleSoft), sales channel management, credit control, churn management and customer care applications. Management activities comprised building the optimum solution for business requirements, project planning and control, budget management, software deployment and maintenance, and supplier management.Start-up and management of a new IT project division consisting of in-house project manager staff with outsourced project execution based in a software factory model. The objective was to achieve a project pipeline with higher efficiency and higher throughput. The resulting systems met strategic needs of the company’s business and engineering areas, such as support of new telecom products and services, and new operation and maintenance services for telecom networks.Management of the IT technology division responsible for projects related to the design and deployment of IT operations architecture, administration and management tools, and infrastructure architecture. The division was responsible for building the company´s IT operations center, which monitors infrastructure and application availability and performance, and measures end-to-end SLA compliance.

Responsibilities as project manager comprised the design and construction of new telecom products in the area of conformance testing and maintenance of telecommunication systems. The resulting products were targeted to the international telecom market, in some cases evolving into tailor-made solutions addressing strategic end-customers, such as Deutsche Budenpost Telekom.Management activities included: coordinating multi-site development teams distributed within Alcatel’s development centers across Europe; interaction with company´s product divisions and end-customers; participation in product definition and roadmap strategy; design of the software and hardware solution; project planning, development, quality control and product release.

Team management in the development of large distributed real-time process control systems. The computer systems were targeted on the automation and control of complex and critical environments, such as: ship’s navigation, sensor control and action command; and graphic simulators for training purpose.The development process comprised specialized teams responsible for the design, construction and integration of software and hardware components, in which systems had to meet strict European quality standards.
