Studied how bacterial cells divide, using several high-throughput technologies (ultra high-throughput sequencing, high-density tiling arrays, and tandem mass spectrometry) together with genetic and molecular biology techniques that allow us to study and understand the regulation of thousands of genes and proteins, some of them key in regulating the cell-cycle. In collaboration with Stanford fellows, I have developed algorithms that accurately predicted the location of 27 novel sRNA molecules (featured on the cover of the Journal of Molecular Microbiology), the existence of hundreds of novel antisense transcripts, and the identification of hundreds of genes essential for cell viability in C. Crescentus (provisional U.S patent USSN 61/501,073).

Teaching Assistant in courses such as "Topics in International Advanced Technology Research", "Entrepreneurship in Asian High-Tech Industries" and "Fourier Transforms and Applications", taught by the Department of Electrical Engineering.

It started as a Computer Science project at Stanford by implementing the concept of a "virtual kiss". We optimized metrics to achieve viral distribution through the social graph. Only a few months after the Facebook Platform had launched, KissMe was among the first viral applications in Facebook, crossing 1 Million installs in a period of a few weeks. KissMe was acquired fifteen months later.

MIT startup. Worked with the Image Processing Group developing algorithms embedded in some of the thinnest Digital Still Cameras (Guinness Book of World Records). SMaL Camera Technologies was acquired by Cypress Semiconductor.

Worked with the Nanometer Analysis and Test Group benchmarking novel features of Design and Physical Compiler and parallelizing simulations that ran on chip designs containing several million transistors.

Worked at the Consumer Broadcast Division designing and implementing a digital high-frequency multimeter while programming Motorola's MC68HC micro-controllers.
