Having traveled to more than 60 countries across six continents, Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Eduardo Angel is no stranger to adventures. But donating 90% of his belongings to circle the globe for 18 months proved to be a different kind of challenge. Worked on the short film “A Poet Long Ago” by Bob Giraldi, an American film and television director known for the film Dinner Rush and the music video for Michael Jackson's song "Beat It." His work has garnered many accolades, including several London International Awards, Cannes Advertising Awards, NY International Awards, Addy Awards, Chicago Film Festival Awards and hundreds of Clio Awards. He has also been named one of the "101 Stars Behind 100 Years of Advertising."

Wrote dozens of articles for publication on Canon’s Digital Learning Center as well as monthly reports for Canon's USA team with my professional analysis of the photography, video and printing industries, Canon Pro products, and competitive online educational offerings by other imaging companies.

Joined the reviewer’s panel at the open­ing recep­tion, and MFA Photo show, and lectured about “The Busi­ness of Pho­tog­ra­phy” cov­er­ing top­ics like mar­ket­ing and self-promotion, build­ing a client base, and work­ing on assignment. Lau­ren Wen­dle, VP and Pub­lisher of PDN Photo Dis­trict News shared her always rel­e­vant views on the photo indus­try. Other speak­ers include Chicago artist pho­tog­ra­pher Terry Evans, Michael Itkoff, found­ing edi­tor of Day­light Mag­a­zine, and Finnish-American pho­tog­ra­pher Arno Rafael Minkkinen.

Invited to review more than 1,200 photo sub­mis­sions with Cath­leen McGuigan, editor-in-chief of Archi­tec­tural Record and edi­to­r­ial direc­tor of two other McGraw-Hill pub­li­ca­tions, Gary DiPaolo, our con­struc­tion safety expert, and two ENR employ­ees, Aileen Cho, senior edi­tor for trans­porta­tion, and Justin Reynolds, asso­ciate art director. I was truly sur­prised to see the over­all qual­ity of the images.

Recommend photographic techniques and approaches to help communicate intended message and create desired effect, planning photo sessions, and advising on other professional and artistic subjects related to uses and applications of photography; counsel clients on photographic capabilities; inform clients of new capabilities and advise as to possible applications. Assist employees and customers with issues regarding digital imaging capture and digital workflow (digital file info, file processing, post production, location work station, histogram, color management, output devices, data backup, file delivery). Assist in marketing efforts to promote photographic services throughout the East Coast.

Managed over $1.4 million in rental inventory for a photographic-retail company. Worked closely with store manager to determine budget strategies and recommend changes in equipment. Shared store-managing responsibilities such as opening and closing the store, overseeing rental budget, and monitoring rental department workflow. Responsible for managing all inquiries regarding customer service. Worked with art directors, large studios, individual photographers and various institutions to coordinate and manage equipment rental. Provided digital training and troubleshooting. Updated software and firmware for over 15 different brand/model digital systems.

Taught photography classes for high school students and home-schooled students in a not-for-profit, arts-education organization. Classes included digital and traditional photography, studio lighting, digital workflow, advanced Photoshop, photojournalism, and stock photography. Teacher responsibilities included structuring curriculum and material preparation.

Photographed college’s permanent-collection items which included paintings, sculptures, photographs, and furniture. Documented staff and students flat and three dimensional fine art works for colllege’s catalog, books, web media, and newspaper.
