Contracted by Headquarters to proceed profound turnaround in Finance and implement procedures and processes linked to governance and Compliance mitigating risks and maximizing profitability, Based in São Paulo, reported to the Global CFO, leading a regional team of 50 people, overseeing the finance, controllership, FP&A, accounting, treasury, infra-structure, procurement, supply chain, tax planning, human resources, legal and information technology areas over Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Panama and Miami.Main focus was linked to tax incentive and optimization of ICMS, PPB, Lei do bem, rouarnet Law, royalties, INPI eligibility generating over USD24Mio Cost reduction. Optimization and implementation on Sales & Oper. Protocols. Implementation of Shared Service Center in Mexico City and Logistic Distribution Hubs in Panama and Costa Rica to speed up deliveries and Customization capability to final customers in Caribe and Andean Countries tripling revenue on these geographic areas. Rollout of SAP, implementation of MNGT tools such as Sales Force, Business Watch, microstrategy BI, cockpits to monitor Top to Bottom lines by BU´s, developed FP&A area and enhance Budget process. Oversaw PL Conversion on USGAAP, BRGAAP, IFRS transition.Led due diligence processes in the Latin America subsidiaries, and defined an action plan to carry out turnaround that has triggered cost savings of USD10Mio (SLA penalties reduction) in the first year by implementing controls and processes adherent with the best corporate governance practices;Review and renegotiate agreements and contracts, bringing positive impact in the bottom line of 3x EBIT compared to previous year;Active Hedging strategy on Long term Sales contracts generating USD8Mio gains. Intensive interaction and alignment with Internal and External auditors. Many Travels to Latin America, USA and Europe as Member of Global Finance Committee and as Global projects leader.
