I’m a full stack developer based in Mexico. My journey began in the year 2000 as a Visual Basic developer at a local company where I used to create small apps and toolsets. In 2005, I moved to ASP.NET and PHP, working for Palace Resorts hotels for almost eight years, building their infrastructure as a Software Architect. In 2009, I created Zeion, my own company, where I worked part time until 2013, when I went full time.Zeion is a two-man company, so I play different roles. I work directly with our customers, planning and managing our development process. I’m also the lead full stack developer. I also handle our cloud infrastructure. We use Azure for storage and Amazon AWS for database and services. My latest project is a web application designed to create electronic invoices in Mexico. Cto ZeionZeion Software Aug 2010 - Sep 2017Mérida Area, MexicoA friend and I started this company back in 2009. We wanted to create a paradise for developers, a safe heaven, if you will, so we named it Zeion (as in Sion). I was a Software Architect, so it made sense to become the CTO.I switched to Microsoft ASP.NET MVC using C# and MySQL for the backend, and jQuery for the frontend. I liked the way it worked and how easy it was to create applications and services. I used this to create a completely new development framework I named The Zeion Framework. We’ve being using our framework to build software in Mexico, both Web and Mobile. I’ve designed and built all our cloud infrastructure. We use Azure for storage and Amazon AWS for services, like DNS (Route 53), MySQL, EC2, SES, etc. -
Software ArchitectPalace Resorts Mar 2005 - Oct 2012Mérida Area, MexicoI was hired and successfully built a Hub for the Intranet, where we can publish all the different web applications we were going to create. Eventually I became the Software Architect of the entire web development platform. In my time at that company, I created the Palace Resorts Development Framework and wrote numerous guidelines to increase quality in code and increase productivity. All our platform was built around Microsoft’s EDRA, a popular guideline for Web Service publishing at the time. I created different service repositories both in Mexico and Dominican Republic, and specialized services for passport identification and caching, also Windows Server remote management tools.I designed and coded our Web Development framework, creating libraries, components and solutions using vanilla JavaScript.I loved the company. I left because I wanted to build my own.
