As the Program Officer for Civil Justice at the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (Academy), he leads an effort to implement recommendations of the Academy's Civil Justice for All Report. With deep knowledge about the access to justice ecosystem, Eduardo unlocks collaborative potential between civil justice organizations, legal professionals and specialists, and the initiatives they lead to achieve access to justice for all. By cultivating a collegial network of professionals and serving as a steward for these efforts, Eduardo expands awareness of emerging best practices, innovative technology tools, and critical civil justice research.Eduardo was previously the Projects Manager for the Self-Represented Litigation Network (SRLN) where he coordinated SRLN’s various activities including an active listserv of over 350+ civil justice professionals, monthly webinars focused on access to justice topics, engagement with volunteer working group co-chairs, and an online library of civil justice resources and research. Eduardo developed his civil justice expertise as the Georgetown-SRLN Access to Justice Fellow, where he conducted nationwide research of state access to justice systems and county level self-help services.
