As an assistant planner I support the planning department in their day-to-day tasks, which may include conducting research, preparing reports, and organizing data related to planning projects. I assist in the review of development proposals, zoning applications, and permits, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and policies. Additionally, I engage with stakeholders, attend meetings, and provide administrative support to help facilitate the smooth operation of the planning department.

My responsibilities include overseeing a team of order pullers to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. I assign work tasks, monitor productivity, and provide guidance and training to team members. Additionally, I will collaborate with other departments, such as inventory management and shipping, to maintain efficient order flow and resolve any issues that arise during the order fulfillment process.

At SGVCOG I worked closely with Roy Choi and Steph Wong. Gathering data and analyzing the data related to various regional planning initiatives and programs, contributing to comprehensive reports and presentations. Collaborating with the planning team to identify trends, patterns, and insights from the data to inform decision-making processes and support evidence-based planning strategies for the San Gabriel Valley region.

Some of the responsibilities include collecting and organizing data, conducting literature reviews, assisting in experimental procedures, and analyzing research findings. I've also contributed to the preparation of research reports, manuscripts, and presentations, as well as participate in research team meetings and discussions.
