Work as a crew member for MCE Corporation assisting the Public Works Department with maintenance and repair of the city of Rancho Cordova's infrastructure. Assist Foreman managing crew of 8 members ensuring activities are completed in a timely and safe manner. Responsibilities include;- Maintenance of right of ways, public properties & traffic signs within the city limits. - Repair broken roads and patch potholes to ward off accidents or inconveniences.- Clear debris on roadways to ensure motor safety.- Remove bushes and trees from roads by using specialized equipment and techniques.- Place detour and stop signs on the road and remove roadkill. - Assist in cleaning storm drains and culverts. - Inspect and clean drainage systems. - Handle the roadside landscaping work and mowing, as well as maintained properties. As well as litter removal. - Perform general and preventive maintenance on vehicles, tools, and equipment used to handle city maintenance tasks. - Ensure that all temporary signs are taken down at the end of each maintenance project. -Managed and directed traffic during or before accidents. - Knowledge of streets and public properties.- Setup and tare down traffic control equipment and erect and dismantle barricades signs and cones. -Certified as Traffic Control technician by the ATSSA (renewed every 2 yrs.)
