I am one of the 2 directors of the small forestry company "B.V. Maatschappij voor Heide- en Stuifzandontginning". The company owns 176 hectares of woodlands near Beekbergen and was founded in 1906 by one of my ancestors. FSC and SNL certified. EHS and Natura 2000, NSW 1928 BV (tax exempt under the Natural Beauty Law of 1928).

I use Qipu to do my consulting and project management services. I help my customers connecting information needs of management to business goals and objectives (management information and reporting, business intelligence, planning & control) and have done so extensively for government and non-profit organisations. I also give courses and guest lectures on these topics.Presently my consulting activities are on hold.

I happen to several fine casks of single malt whisky that are awaiting bottling between about 2026 and 2036. Several of my friends, business partners, (ex) customers, (former) co-workers and combinations of the above participate in the ownership of these casks. For this purpose we founded the association "Het Pensioenvat". The spirit of this undertaking is not only that we will collect some excellent whisky but also to show that I believe in, and practice long term relationships and that I don't see business and pleasure as separate entities. The articles of association of "Het Pensioenvat" forbid trading or commercial exploitation of these whiskies.

I worked 11 years for Van Dijk Consulting as a consultant and project manager in the field of management information, business intelligence and related topics.

In my final year at the University of Amsterdam I did a traineeship at BSO EIS/CC. This was the competence center for management information at BSO. I did research on selection criteria for business intelligence tools and did a couple of internal projects for half a year.
