Emily is an environmental scientist with 12 years of experience in working with project proponents to achieve compliance with environmental regulations in the Pacific Northwest and in Alaska. She has a diverse skill set ranging from environmental field sampling and data management, data review and quality assurance, development of permit application materials, and nearshore habitat restoration. She has assessed streams, rivers, wetlands and marine shorelines, and written associated existing conditions, mitigation, restoration and monitoring reports. For various road, bridge, residential and commercial construction projects, and habitat restoration projects, she has developed permit application materials and supporting studies including local (critical areas, SEPA and shorelines), state (HPA, 401 water quality certification) and federal (USACE Section 10 and 404 review, ESA, FEMA, NEPA) compliance. Emily has provided environmental site assessment and permitting services for the design and construction of roads, bridges, piers and other in-water/over-water structures. She has supported nearshore MTCA cleanup efforts where nearshore habitat resources, specifically eelgrass habitat, were driving factors in evaluation of cleanup alternatives.
