In my role at Kvika, I serve as the Head of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, where I have established and led a dynamic team of financial experts. Our primary mission is to orchestrate comprehensive group-wide rolling forecasts, a critical component of our strategy to move beyond traditional budgeting practices. In addition to that, we play a leading role in developing Kvika's robust business intelligence infrastructure, providing leadership with essential insights for strategic decision-makingFurthermore, we regularly engage in ad-hoc analyses of our loan portfolios, deposits, and securities, as well as analysing possible M&A and divestment cases. The FP&A team is at the forefront of adopting Finance Ops, a revolutionary methodology inspired by DevOps principles, with the aim of eliminating the routine manual tasks typically associated with acquiring, analyzing, and presenting financial data.

GMÍ is operating in the fintech space, providing debt collection services, BNPL lending, and factoring.

EBOP, calculation engine for pricing equity baskets, supporting wide range of available options in an object oriented scalable environment in C# .NET using WPF as a frontend.

Worked on a front-end to "Optimus", an optimal mortgage loan diversification engine wrt. risk levels. Developed a scenario-tree analysis visualization- and drilldown tool.

Along with my studies in computer science I developed a blog system. It quickly grew from a simple web site, supporting a few of my friends keeping online diaries, to become the 2nd largest website in Iceland in 2005, measured in weekly unique visitors. With a lot of spare time I was able to manage it by myself and gained a great deal of first-hand experience in all the business- and technical-aspects of operating a large public website. Vefkerfi ehf. was a company founded by me to manage the operation of the site, until it was acquired in 2005 by 365 hf, the largest media company in Iceland.
