The Norwegian governmental ECA, born 1945, Norwegian lawyer in 1970, deputy judge and thereafter practising corporate and financial law in Norway and internationally especially in the maritime field, joined GIEK in 1980 as Dep. dir. General. Has been member of several boards especially in connection with bankrupcies, managing apart from credit and investment insurance Norwegian governmental sechemes on guarantees in the maritime sector, and war risk cargo transportation. Has represented GIEK in international fora as the Paris Club, OECD and Berne Union. He was for severeal years member of the Technical Subcommittee for MLT in the Berne Union, and 2009-10 vice-chair to its short term committee. Board of the Japan-Norway Society 2008 - 2016. Chairman "Sogn Senior Academy" - (a local Oslo-society)- 2016 -Specialties: Has issued booklets, in Norwegian,on the 75-year history of GIEK (2004),on the governmental scheme for War Risk Transportation Insurance (SVF) (2005), on the Norwegian Ship export campaign (2007) and Credit Insurance together with Thor Høstmark løve (2008 revised 2010).
