Dr. Edvinas Krugly is a Chief Researcher in Faculty of Chemical Technology, Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuania. He holds a Doctoral degree in Chemistry. He has co-authored 46 scientific publications with h-index of 17 and has given 69 presentations in international conferences. He is a co-founder of 3 university start-ups on 3D fiber printing technology, 3D membranes for in vitro models, scaffolds for regenerative medicine and a member of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society. Currently, he is supervising two PhD students and several master students in the study programs of Applied Chemistry and Medicinal Chemistry. He has been a part of 15 research projects, 3 of which are international, and is currently a co-investigator in the project “Whole-Cell Biosensors on Nanofibre Membranes – a New Integral Plaform for Researching Air Pollutant Cytotoxicity (AeroCellTox)” and the manager of Start-up research project “Development and prototyping of 3D fibre printing technology”. He has also been a short-term Visiting Scholar in various universities across Europe and the USA. Contributes to the development of startups in Bious Life and Technology and Bious Labs Cosmetics.
