-Served as the Senior Ground Maintenance technical advisor to the Commander of the U.S Army Japan (USARJ). Responsible for equipment maintenance, supply chain procurement, budgeting, fleet management, and logistic functions for the USARJ area of operations.-Enthusiastically supported a Tasker to USARJ, where he developed the Command's first Maintenance Standard Operating Procedures, resulting in providing a set of guidelines for standardized procedures and policies for all units within the USARJ to follow. -Worked tirelessly to identify resources to address field and sustainment level corrosion repairs. Coordinated the movement, evacuation and transportation for 18 pieces of equipment from three different units from Japan to South Korea for corrosion repairs increasing readiness-Assisted units by conducting five Individual Readiness Assessments. -Served as the Battalion Automotive Maintenance Technician for the Combat Aviation Brigade in support of the 25th Infantry Division. The primary advisor to Battalion Commander’s on all aspects of ground maintenance, and logistics to include maintenance policy and procedural standards.-Responsible for planning, organizing, and executing field level maintenance operations for over 1,550 pieces of equipment worth over $75 million. -Served as the technical expert for maintenance and maintenance processes for all equipment within the battalion and assisted in solving technical problems in maintenance and supply chain of repair parts. -Flawless performance enabled the successful deployment of over 125 pieces of equipment to two different exercises on the Island of Hawaii, and over 150 pieces in support of multinational exercise.-Through his efforts, the battalion received highly commendable ratings for these Standard Operating Procedures in a Maintenance Staff Assistance Visit chaired by the Sustainment Brigade's Commander.-Created a service schedule plan for the battalion to overcome a lack of previous maintenance records on hand. -Managed daily activities involved in the supply chain management to include sourcing, procurement and logistics management activities.-Forecasted, planned and budget execution for maintenance, supplies, inventory management and warehousing and other consumables.-Was routinely consulted by members of the Brigade staff, and fellow battalion maintenance technicians for best practices and his developed systems for maintenance tracking. The battalion maintenance program was lauded for multiple "best practices" throughout the brigade and division.-Developed a work environment where everyone worked together and understood their roleand requirements. -Oversaw the maintenance management of over 465 pieces of equipment with an Operational Readiness Rate of 97.5 %. -Provided daily oversight of the Global Combat Support System-Army.

-Served as an Automotive Maintenance Warrant Officer for a Brigade Special Troops Battalion assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood Texas. The primary advisor to Battalion Commander’s on all aspects of ground maintenance, and logistics to include maintenance policy and procedural standards.-Responsible for planning, organizing, and executing field level maintenance operations of over 350 pieces of equipment worth over $150 million, including 264 pieces of rolling stock, two M1135 Nuclear Biological and Chemical Reconnaissance Vehicles, and 20 Bradley Fighting Vehicles.-Coordinated, planned, executed and monitored the Battalion Maintenance Program, Safety, Standard Pricing, Army Oil Analysis Program, Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment, The Army Maintenance Management System, Shop Stock Listing, Recoverable Parts Program, Modification Work Orders, Safety of Use Messages, recovery operations, environmental requirements, Physical Security, Quality Assurance/Quality Control, and publications. -Responsible for shop productivity and job proficiency of 71 Employees to include 21 Sergeants and 50 Soldiers. -Interfaced directly with Item Managers, Army Materiel Command, Defense Logistics Agency and other support agencies to expedite the delivery of essential repair parts and resolve technical issues.-Consistently outperformed his peers in executing maintenance readiness operations for the Brigade Rear Detachment. -Technical expertise and extreme professionalism directly impacted the successful reorganization and deactivation of our Armored Brigade Combat Team. -He was hand-selected to oversee maintenance operations during our transition and served above his grade acting as the Senior Maintenance Technician for the Brigade. -Was a dynamic problem solver that can rapidly analyze complex problems and quickly work towards solutions. -Continuously improved the maintenance posture and was always dedicated to improving the unit's wartime mission.

Immediately found out that all equipment was not conducive to standard maintenance operations. -Served as the Maintenance Control Sergeant for a field maintenance company in support of a deployed 1st Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division; Responsible for planning, managing and the overall production control of field and backup maintenance support for the Automotive, Armament, Electronic, Allied Trade, Recover, Missile, and Engineer sections.-Accountable for an extensive shop stock list, equipment and vehicles valued in excess of $80M.- Awarded the Bronze Star Medal for exceptional and meritorious service while assigned as the Maintenance Control Sergeant during operation Iraqi Freedom.-SFC Cabrera’s proficiency in logistical management provided for 97% operational readiness, at all times, of mission critical systems; this totaled 70 Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles, 30 M1151 Up-Armored HMMWV’s, 15 Material Handling Equipment vehicles, 24 M969A2 Fuel Trailer, 15 M978 fuel distribution vehicles, 6 M915A4 line haul trucks, 5 Heavy Equipment Transporter, 4 M1000 Heavy Transporter Trailers and several other systems vital to mission success.-Flawlessly established the total logistical integration of 40 diverse customers including four branches of the military, Department of Defense Contractors, and State Department while deployed to Iraq.-Researched, identified, and eliminated over 1,200 lines of unnecessary vehicle repair parts inventory and retrograded into the Army supply system saving over $1 million.-Exuded composure and confidence in stressful situations; displayed exceptional personal drive, energy, stamina, and the ability to exceed expectations.-Relentless pursuit of safety throughout all his maintenance shops within the Battalion yielded zero accidents throughout the deployment.-Trained and developed two Sergeants and three newly assigned Soldiers to become the most knowledgeable and dependable logistics automated system clerks within the battalion.
